Whether you’re beginners in the kitchen or seasoned chefs, this lemon linguine recipe for two is perfect for your next date night in. So grab that Cuisinart pot that you registered for, and let’s heat things up! What you’ll need: 1 pack linguine 3 TBS olive oil 2 TBS butter 3/4 cup ramps, chopped 4-5 fresh sage leaves 1 TBS fresh Oregano 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (~2-3 lemons) 1/3 cup reserved pasta water 1/2 cup grated cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano recommended) Salt/freshly ground black pepper and red pepper flake to taste Fresh basil and parsley for finishing What to do: 1. Well, first off, let’s cook the linguine. Follow the instructions on the box, but before draining, reserve 1/3 cup of pasta water for later. Set the pasta aside. 2. Matt, Executive Sous Chef at Per Se, and Lorin, a personal chef for a family, met while working at the world-renowned French Laundry in Napa Valley. For their first holiday as husband and wife, this Zola couple dishes on one of their favorite recipes for a Thanksgiving Day dessert. Rum & Vanilla Poached Pears Will need: medium cast iron or sauté pan with lid Ingredients: 2 Anjou pears 2/3 cup sugar 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 T ground cinnamon 3 T dark rum 1/3 cup water 2 tsp vanilla extract (or can scrape 1 vanilla bean) How to: Preheat a cast iron pan or medium sized sauté pan (not nonstick) over medium/high heat. In a small bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon. Stir to mix well. Peel the pears and split lengthwise. With a small spoon, scoop out the core and seeds.
