Annie and Tony met in Los Angeles in an acting program. It wasn’t until later once Tony had graduated and Annie was just starting that their real romance began. Read below to find out how he proposed, their favorite ways to entertain and registry tips. How did you meet? We met performing together in the Groundlings Theatre’s Sunday Company in 2011 (alums include Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Will Ferrell) in Los Angeles. It’s sort of like getting a “comedy MFA” and takes years of going through the Groundlings school before getting a shot at Sunday Company. There are hundreds of students, so we’d never met until I got in – he’d already been performing for 6 months when I was invited to join. How did you get engaged? We were up visiting my parents in Lake Tahoe over the holidays. After Christmas came and went without a proposal, I thought it was safe to stop showering and live in sweatpants for the rest of our trip, since it didn’t seem like any surprise photo ops would …
