Wedding Registry Hidden Gem: Dyson

We are always on the hunt for those wedding registry hidden gems that end up being your favorite gift for years to come. No, not the gifts you only use when the in-laws come over – quite the opposite actually. We’re talking Dyson vacuums. You’ll fall in love with Dyson’s signature lightweight yet powerful design that comes in a bunch of shapes and sizes for all of your needs. V6 Absolute Cordless Stick Vacuum Absolutely cordless, they say? You know what that means: no excuses when it comes to tackling the entire house at once. It’s surprisingly powerful for a hand-held device, especially given how lightweight it is. We love the added versatility thanks to its removable wand. Still not sold? Our favorite part is the brush attachment that helps get into all those in-between spaces, like keyboards. This model is truly as good as it gets. Toast Meets World, the Instagram sensation and puppy mill rescue made sure to register for Dyson products for her wedding registry after we hinted that Dyson is one of our must-have brands. Think of these as the items your Great Aunt most likely got for her wedding, too. You’ll have them forever and they never go out of style. Even if you aren’t sure you’ll need settings for 24 guests, start with a smaller number in a classic style so you can add on later, if the time ever comes. If not, you have enough for just you two and a few extra to account for all those kitchen accidents that built up over the course of a lifetime.    1. Invento 24-Piece Stemware Set – $150 2. Registry Mistakes You Don’t Even Realize You Are Making

The wedding landscape is changing, that’s for sure. And it’s making room for a whole new set of etiquette standards for everything from bridesmaid dresses to e-vites. Here are our must-read tips on how to avoid making cringe-worthy wedding registry mistakes. When You Think Modern Registry = Modern Thank You Notes  Nope. Sorry! Handwritten thank you notes are always in style, no matter how “green” or “techy” you are. It’s the least you can do for your beloved guests, who have taken the time to get you exactly what you want for your wedding. Having said that, you still need to write notes for those guests who go off-registry, too. We know it can seem daunting, but Thank-You Note Manager will do the organizing for you. You’re welcome. When You Set Up a “Gifts” Table at Your Wedding With online shopping, this tradition is no longer necessary (thanks, Internet!). One of our favorite Zola features is Control Shipping, where you can choose when and where you want to receive your wedding presents. Want that toaster now? Later? Want to convert it …

And please, get rid of those lingering red plastic cups. How many of each do I get?  If you’re thinking 8-12, you’re almost right. We suggest adding a few more for insurance purposes. Accidents happen (especially when drinks are involved) so to be sure to you can always keep a full set around the house, we err on the side of caution and always add some more. That seems like a lot! Don’t we know it. It takes first-timers a bit to get used to ordering in bulk like this, especially since most of us are living in cramped starter …
