Behind The Scenes: Inside Vermont Farm Table’s Wood Shop

We’ve always got Zola brands on our mind, so during a recent trip to Vermont, our Art Director made a slight detour to one of our favorites, Vermont Farm Table, to visit their team. Even better? She got a behind-the-scenes tour of their wood shop! Get the inside scoop on exactly what goes into making the boards, muddlers, paddles, and hand-crafted wooden goods that add that special touch to your newlywed home. Their Story Dustin Glasscoe started Vermont Farm Table in 2008. He had recently moved to Vermont, and saw an opportunity to create high quality, functional, and robust furniture for hard-working families. Dustin knew that a table should be built by hand using traditional techniques and environmentally responsible materials. As a new dad, he also knew that it should be used daily, and only look better with wear and tear. With an eye for design, and woodworking skills gained at an early age, Dustin began handcrafting custom dining tables out of his garage in Charlotte, Vermont. The idea took off from there, all the way to their state-of-the-art woodshop! Their Wood Shop Number of full-time woodworkers: …

10 Registry Gifts to Use at Your Wedding

Let’s be honest – limiting the use of fine china and fancy crystal for special once-a-year occasions is pretty passé. Cutting Board Forego the classic cake stand and try displaying desserts on a rustic cutting board for a romantic, simple scene. We love the Proteak Edge Grain Cutting Board, and try a coordinating display of miniature treats laid out on the Vermont Farm Table Quick Board Multi Pack. 2. Sony Action Cam AS100 – Even if you have a professional covering your big day, it’s always fun to see the reception through the eyes of your guests. The Scoop From A Wedding Planner: Meet #ZolaCouple Olu & Hana

#ZolaCouple Olu & Hana met working in a hospital 5 years ago, where he was the doctor consulting on a cardio case in the neuro/trauma ICU unit she was the nurse in. Ever since Olu asked for Hana’s number, and they had their first date at Chin Chin, the rest has been history. The two bonded over their shared work in the medical field and common interests, like cooking, entertaining, staying healthy, and exploring new places. Since those early days, Hana has gone on to start her own event planning company, Venus Event Design, so we thought what better opportunity than this to get to know one of our favorite #ZolaCouples and get the scoop from her on wedding planning and entertaining tricks, too. Let’s Talk Wedding Details: How did you get engaged? After a long day at work in the hospital, I was wearing scrubs, had my hair pulled up in a topsy turvy bun and was driving home exhausted from work.
